An Excellent Wife Who Can Find?

Throughout the Bible the God of the Old Testament refers to His people Israel as being His wife, and in the book of Revelation, Christ's people are referred to as "the Bride, the wife of the Lamb." Therefore, the union between a husband and wife can be elevated to the spiritual reality of Christ and his bride, the church. Through this lens, the "excellent wife" described in Proverbs 31 can be used as a template for what Jesus is looking for in his bride. This book explores what that "excellent wife" looks like, and asks, though Christ is not looking for perfection, what can the church do to strive for excellence?
