The Abyss

Jesus Christ tells us that hell is an eternal fire created for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). Therefore, God didn’t originally intend this everlasting fire to be the destination of any human soul. However, due to man’s initial rebellion against God in the garden of Eden, the gates of hell were then thrown open to every person who defies the God of heaven and who tramples underfoot His moral laws. Yet God so loved mankind that He sent His only begotten Son to pay the eternal price for man’s defiance, and as a result, redeem every soul of man who repents of his sins and then follows and obeys His Son. Granted, the topic of hell is an extremely unpopular one to discuss or even to contemplate. Consequently, people throughout the ages have denied the very existence of hell or have completely distorted the biblical description of this place of everlasting torment. Nevertheless, within the pages of this book, John Hunt dares to reveal the true nature of such a terrible place and encourages others to do the same, despite its unpopularity.
