The Full Armor of God

Very few people, even within the Church, realize just how intense the spiritual conflict between God’s army and that of Satan’s really is. The height, depth, length, and breadth of this struggle defies all human comprehension. However, it was the apostle Paul who pulled back this iron curtain which separates the physical world from the spiritual dimension when he wrote, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). The soldiers of Christ are therefore admonished to put on the full armor of God, to resist the schemes of the devil, and to stand firm against him. Consequently, the chapters within this book are an attempt to shed light on this spiritual warfare and to explain what putting on the full armor of God really entails and exactly what being a Christian warrior means.
