The Mystery Of All Mysteries

Both the world and the universe are filled with unexplained mysteries; and when considering the profound phenomena surrounding death and dying, or the unknown realities of heaven and hell, as well as the unexplored realms of angels and devils; and of course, what the face and essence of God looks like, the mysteries seem endless and incomprehensible. However, there is a mystery which seems to exceed all others, and that is the mysterious relationship between God and His people, and between Christ and His church. The prophet Ezekiel graphically describes this union as a marriage covenant; and the apostle Paul portrays the sexual union between a husband and wife as mirroring the spiritual consummation between Christ and His church or encompassing Him and the individual soul. Consequently, within the pages of this book, John Hunt provides a plausible interpretation to explain the unexplainable, which of course is an oxymoron. Nevertheless, the Scriptures paint this perplexing portrait of God’s marriage to men, and therefore John uses God’s own words to describe this indescribable concept and to unravel this profoundly abstract reality.
