Who Are You, And Where Are You Going?
The meaning of life has been an age-old question for thousands of years, but how many people have ever seriously pondered this elusive enigma with critical investigation or with earnest inquiry? It was William Shakespeare who wrote in his legendary play Macbeth: “Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing” (Act 5, Scene V). Shakespeare’s immortal words could never be truer—if God does not exist. For, then, neither does genuine meaning. Consequently, the pages within this book take an in-depth look into the very purpose of one’s existence and elaborate on exactly where true meaning and eternal significance reside. The fact remains that man is the only creature throughout the world who has the reasoning capacity to question his existence; therefore, it is the ultimate tragedy for him to neglect to do so.
